Trent Palmer.

The Journey to Legal Mastery

Formal education, experiential learning, diverse courtroom experience, and high-end deals have honed Principal Trent Palmer’s legal skills.


Trent’s exposure to law practice started at age 15 when he worked as a runner for a family law and civil practice.

Academic Background

He went on to study philosophy and economics at the University of Tulsa. Later awarded the Emery Law Scholarship, Trent earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and became a guest scholar in law and economics at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Early Legal Experience

His background includes an externship with the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, a clerkship with a respected criminal defense and habeas corpus practice in San Jose, California, and associate positions with Aspen, Colorado resort real estate and litigation firms.

Western Colorado Practice

Trent moved to Western Colorado circa 2008’s Great Recession. The steady stream of litigation that stemmed from unhinged lending and development exposed him to the unique nature of real estate in the Roaring Fork Valley. For over a decade, Trent has immersed himself in matters of general civil litigation and real estate practice.

Community Involvement

An integral part of his community through pro bono work and various non-profit boards, including past president of the Rotary Club of Snowmass Village and former member of the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission, Trent builds lasting relationships through reputation and trust, relationships that transcend any single deal or dispute.

Life Beyond the Law

When he’s not in the courtroom or at the negotiating table, Trent is likely skiing, traversing ridgelines, or otherwise exploring the wilds of Colorado. Happy to call the Roaring Fork Valley home, Trent brings a sense of fulfillment to the office.
